Pakistan on Muslim League ban: India’s central government has declared the Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League a banned organization under the strict anti-terror law. Masarat Alam Bhat, leader of this organization banned by the central government, is known for carrying an anti-India and pro-Pakistan agenda. The Union Home Ministry said this ban was imposed in view of the organisation’s involvement in anti-national and separatist activities in Jammu and Kashmir with the intention of establishing a reign of terror in the country.
Pakistan has reacted after India’s decision. Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a press release objecting and condemning India’s decision. He said through a press release that India wrongly banned Masarat Alam Bhat’s party for the next 5 years. India is torturing them a lot. He has been in prison for the past few years and will have to remain in prison for more than 20 years.

Pakistan said it is a violation of the United Nations Charter
Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry said that the Indian government has banned Pakistan Muslim League Jammu Kashmir (Masrat Alam faction) MLJK-MA in Jammu and Kashmir for illegal activities. This is the fifth Kashmiri party, which has been banned by the Government of India. Earlier, it had banned the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, Jamaat-e-Islami Jammu and Kashmir, Dukhtaran-e-Millat and the Jammu and Kashmir Freedom Democratic Party.
Pakistan alleged that India had detained the leaders of these parties for a long time and had confiscated their properties. Earlier this year, the Indian government had also sealed the All Parties Hurriyat Conference office in Srinagar. Pakistan said India is clearly violating the fundamental principles of the United Nations Charter by taking such measures.
